Life on the decrepit moon of Mool is bleak for Robert Fannec. Struggling to make ends meet and facing eviction from his shabby apartment, Robert sees a glimmer of hope when he stumbles upon a flyer advertising a lucrative off-world shooting competition. Eager to escape his dead-end existence, he scrapes together the entry fee and boards a ship to the distant planet of Zorath.

But fate has other plans for Robert. An unexpected detour leaves him stranded and on the run from both local gangsters and government agents. Forced into an unlikely alliance with Ace, a snarky rogue AI, Robert finds himself embroiled in a dangerous conspiracy to expose a shadowy sentient trafficking ring.

Pursued by enemies on all sides, Robert and Ace embark on a high-stakes mission to gather evidence and take down the trafficking operation before more innocent lives are lost. Their journey takes them from the slums of Mool to the towering cities of Zorath and beyond, where they must rely on wits, improvisation, and a healthy dose of sarcasm to survive.
